National Resistance Front (NRF) insurgents reportedly killed six Taliban members during three separate attacks in the past 24 hours. Saturday night, NRF rebels killed two Taliban operatives in Kabul. On Saturday, unknown gunmen ambushed and killed three police officers and set their car on fire in Canete, in the Biobio region of Chile. A long-simmering conflict between the Mapuche indigenous community and landowners and forestry companies in Biobío and Chile's Araucanía region farther south has intensified in recent years. Gun battle between village volunteers breaks out in Manipur village
Sunday morning, a gun battle broke out between village volunteers of two warring communities in Manipur’s Imphal West district, resulting in a violent exchange of fire. The incident occurred when several dozens of armed men opened indiscriminate fire in the village of Koutruk in the periphery of Imphal Valley from the adjoining hills in Kangpokpi district. The bullets reportedly pieced walls of the villagers’ homes, prompting the evacuation of women, children, and the elderly to nearby safe areas. Mortar shells were also fired on the village.
